RCom, UniverCell tie up

The agreement was signed between VG Somasekhar, region head - Tamil Nadu and Kerala circles, Reliance Communications, and UniverCell COO V Rajagopalan. Reliance Communications’ agreement with UniverCell is part of its overall plans to drive broadband penetration in India. It launched Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus in March 2009 offering seamless coverage in over 24,000 towns and 600,000 villages across India. The company currently retails Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus in over 370 IT / retail outlets across the state including over 131 exclusive Reliance World and Reliance Mobile stores in the region.
