NRI steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal has donated 15 million pounds towards creation of a landmark art installation in East End in honour of the 2012 Olympics.

Mittal decided to make the donation at the instance of London Mayor Boris Johnson, "Evening Standard", a tabloid has said.
The scale of the steel installation is colossal and is expected to be visible from up to 16 km away.
Mittal was this year named the eighth richest person in the world and one of the richest in UK, with a personal fortune of 12 billion pounds.
